Some things that made me smile this past week:
| The girls wanted to bake bread--Belle wanted to make bread for sandwiches, and Moo wanted to bake challah. So, we let them take over the kitchen for awhile. There was a real mess left over, but the baked results were yummy! |
| The best looking loaf and challah around, I'd say...but I'm terribly biased. |
| This week I introduced the girls to the concept of splitting the wishbone. Somehow, this whimsical concept had escaped them. I spent more time than probably needed in order to explain the process, and then about how the person with the longest piece that included the bottom of the "Y" bone would receive their "wish". They seemed puzzled (they both have rational little minds, and have been raised in a home where we are careful how we use the word "wish"...yup, we're awfully fundamentalist folks, I suppose...so this whole process seemed like something they should be skeptical about), then they pulled, there was a snap...and, as you see above, the bone snapped completely symmetrically, leaving the "Y" off entirely. This proves something...not sure what... |
