Modern Me

Oh yeah--this country girl is really living the 21st century life now! I bought a webcam, signed up for a skype.com account and I had the motivation to figure out how they work....and I did it! My dear friend Sally (you know, the Pumpkin Queen) is relocating to the continent of Africa in the next year, and this is how we will be able to bear the separation. We had our first chat today, and we felt like self-conscious and giggly 4th graders. It was great! For those dear ones who live across the country, it sure would be great to get a "call" from you sometime. :)

Our Little Pompeii

My hubby and the girls did what Daddies and their children do better than with their Mommies....

they built something that would not only make a mess,

but be destroyed quickly after they made it.

I don't know why Marah looks so scared.

Ta daaaa! I know...the mysterious WHITE lava flow was classic.

A Founder's Thoughts

The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government lest it come to dominate our lives and interests. -- Patrick Henry

Starting Over

Passover is an opportune time to break with our past and start over as new creatures in Messiah. It is an annual reminder that we must leave the old culture behind. Every Passover is a chance to start over. At Passover we remember that we have left our spiritual Egypt. We are free from the past, and we need to set aside those things in our lives that continue to enslave us.
After all, starting over is what it means to be born again.
