June 1st is Belle's eleventh birthday. She is a delight, and we were
thrilled that today--the eve of her actual birthdate--was such a good
day. First, we had a lovely time with the Jacobers at Cheekwood
Botanical Gardens, and then in the evening we surprised Belle with
frozen yogurt at Sweet CeCe's in Nashville, where a couple of her friends from choir
met up with us. They were there when we arrived, and Belle couldn't
stop smiling. She was so surprised and happy...which, of course, made her momma happy as well.

| She was so surprised. The group of them hid out by the bathrooms until she came by. |

| Staring contest! |

| At some point, the girls went from eating frozen yogurt
to donning sombreros and mustaches and making their own kind of fiesta. Like some of the most fun memory makers, this wasn't a planned kind of thing...Allie's mom had some fiesta gear in her car, and brought it in at some point. SO...
Feliz Cumpleanos, Belle! |
 |
| Nope. Not picking her nose...but rather blowing on the tip of her "pistol". |
By the end of the evening, both the workers at Sweet CeCe's had mustaches of their own. They kept them on for a really long time...and served customers with a straight (mustachioed) face. The one employee extraordinaire, Mimi (pictured in the center), took the girls on a tour of the back room of the store and made them feel very much at home and welcome. They won us over--we will be back.
