In the Studio with RaeLynn

Moo was at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville this weekend to provide background vocals on the track "Love Triangle" with RaeLynn for her debut album.
(Those who follow The Voice...which I do not...may know that she was on "Team Blake" in the last year or so on the NBC vocal Idol knock-off, and is known for her Partonesque twang and small, blonde stature.  She is about Moo's height with heels on...Moo is just a scunch over 5 feet tall...)

Choir friend and fellow honor chorister, Dalton.

The whole lot of them--ready to go, with Mr. Kyle to give direction.

Ocean Way Studios has a very long and impressive list of recording artists that have used their studios & production team.  Click on the link to check them out: Client List
This photo was taken by RaeLynn's staff, and I found it pretty easily via her social networking pages once we got home.  A good time was had by all.

Our spring visit to Illinois

I didn't take too many pictures this year when we visited my family up north. The large number of photos are due to the fact that I had my camera highjacked by Belle.

Belle was taken out by Auntie Sissie for a birthday pedicure.  A few of us went along too.

Moo was DYING.

Saying goodbye is hard.

Time at the Hedricks.

Drewbie

It's official.

After a little over three years, Steve finally received his Master of Divinity degree from Luther Rice University.  He graduated with honors with a 4.0 grade point average. He didn't walk with his class, so the excitement of graduation came with the anticipation of the package containing his diploma and his cap and gown.  As much as this may seem to be an anti-climactic way to end a program of much hard work and perseverance, it was actually quite exciting.  Just the four of us, in the dining room, opening up the box from LRU.

We are all proud of you, honey!

It's that time again...

Time for a summer visit from the Nickels family. Yay! The girls were able to spend some extended time with Lydia. It is hard to believe how they have grown up, and how some things stay the same.
Moo found that if she jumped as high as she could, the height differential between her and her BFF was lowered.  It's hard to be part hobbit.  ;)

Last year, I accidentally took a neat shot of the girls.  I tried to recapture the same pose this year...but, they couldn't stop laughing enough to pull it off.

Ahhh...Audrey does her Grinch face.  Classic.

Love and blessings to you girls. Forever and always.
