Happy New Year! Okay, so New Years' was almost 3 weeks ago...I am indeed a little behind in my greeting. Lots has been going on, and I find that I am easily thrown off my groove when it comes to posting.

The last few weeks have been full--we spent time with my Grandmother, rang in the new year with close friends, started back up with Classical Conversations, violin and choir....and took a breath. How is it that our "vacation" is someting that we need to recover from? I don't get it.

Anyway, although I don't typically do New Year's resolutions, I do have one ambition for this year. (Seems like using the word "ambition" is something that won't set me up for feeling like a failure by February! "Resolution" is such a high tower to fall from...)

I just want to try to be more thankful for the people and things that God has put in my life. I am not a particularly unthankful person. I mean, when I stop and look around at how richly blessed we are, it certainly fills me with gratitude. But I guess I just want to stop and look around more....and hang out in that place of gratitude, you know?

Thank you, fine blog reader, for your role in my life--whether you are a member of my family or one of my friends, I am so thankful for you!

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Two Eggs and a Warshrag

Ah, a new era has begun! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I now will have more than just my husband to cook for me! Life is good.
And this is my latest creation: the ballband dishcloth. Not that I "created" it, I simply followed a pattern...I am so pleased. My pal Sally made one for me for Christmas, and I studied and studied it, and even got a verbal tutorial on how it was made...but that didn't help my poor brain. THEN, I got the Mason Dixon Knitting book, and it spelled it out in a way I could follow. And viola! My purty warshrag:
