Iron Chef Elementary

Belle has fallen in love with cooking.  I attribute it in large part to our family's recent obsession with Food Network shows like Iron Chef and Chopped.  Belle now views each mealtime as an opportunity to showcase her new abilities in plating and creative ingredient blends (ask me sometime about her famous "everything-but-the-kitchen-sink scrambled eggs"...as I type this she is mixing orange juice, cheddar cheese and salsa together in a bowl to see how it tastes).  This interest in the kitchen is sort of like the girls' singing ability--it skips a generation! :)

Such careful plating of her Hebrew National hot dog atop her artistic ketchup and mustard sauces...beside her salsa stuffed spinach leaves.
