Our Digigirl

So, there is this big push to get girls interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).  That means that schools/government and even corporations are holding more and more "Women in STEM" events.  This past weekend was another one that Moo attended: Microsoft's Digigirlz event at the Nissan Headquarters in Franklin.

She learned a bunch, talked in-depth with a few professional women in STEM fields, and walked away with a t-shirt and pleather tote--bonus!  :)

The next week, Moo got to demonstrate the levitation/propulsion principles of magnetic levitation (maglev) trains at the Science Fair held by her tutorial:

She and her dad had originally wanted to levitate a frog.  Yeah, there is such a thing.  They settled on the maglev train.  PETA is withdrawing their complaint.
Her pal Elijah made an electric guitar.  Sweet!
Steve and Tommer, in all their bearded glory, check out the competition.
