So, there is this big push to get girls interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). That means that schools/government and even corporations are holding more and more "Women in STEM" events. This past weekend was another one that Moo attended: Microsoft's Digigirlz event at the Nissan Headquarters in Franklin.
She learned a bunch, talked in-depth with a few professional women in STEM fields, and walked away with a t-shirt and pleather tote--bonus! :)
The next week, Moo got to demonstrate the levitation/propulsion principles of magnetic levitation (maglev) trains at the Science Fair held by her tutorial:
| She and her dad had originally wanted to levitate a frog. Yeah, there is such a thing. They settled on the maglev train. PETA is withdrawing their complaint. |
| Her pal Elijah made an electric guitar. Sweet! |
| Steve and Tommer, in all their bearded glory, check out the competition. |
