The girls were in studio at Sound Emporium last week in Nashville to do some upvocals for the coming CMA Christmas Special airing on December 2nd on ABC. (Click
HERE to see more info on the event)
It was a good time, and they laid down tracks for both songs that they will be backing up. The rehearsal for the event is this Thursday at the Bridgestone Arena, and then the taping is all day Friday. I'm going to try and get all the decent pictures that I can, and then when the info blackout is lifted, I'll post them on my blog. All I can say right now is that one of the people they are backing up was one of my favorite songwriters 15 years or so ago. He also is the composer of one of the choral pieces that they are singing this year in NCC. The other person they are singing with crossed over to the country music genre just in the last several years...and is doing quite well (or so I am told...I really have to start listening to country music!).

| The staff was nice enough to invite us all into the sound booth to see how it all works. The sound board was HUGE. The girls were there for two hours. They probably only had a dozen or so measures to record, but the studio staff were meticulous. |

| Taking a break. |
| Mr. James Wells directing. |
| Taking pictures through the studio windows was a challenge. The holiday lights strung from the ceiling make it look like it is snowing in-studio. |
| It was neat to see all the folks who have recorded at Sound Emporium. (Dad, this is Taylor Swift. She's famous.) LOL |
| Just another day in Music City, that's all. :) |
