NCC Spring Concert 2013: Now Let Us Sing!

Last night, the NCC gave their closing concert of the 2012-2013 season at McAfee Concert Hall on the campus of Belmont University.
This was the group of of all 4 Nashville Children's Choirs (Preparatory, Concert, Touring & Youth) gearing up for final rehearsal last Monday night.
This was what they looked like the night of the performance.

It was a big night for the Grant girls, as it was 8th grade recognition night for Moo, and Belle had a short quartet part that she sung during one of the pieces that Touring Choir sang.

Dr. Madeline Bridges presented a photo of the graduates to each graduating 8th grader. (Behind them you can see Kyle Hankins, the accompianist to NCC, as well as being known as "Krazy Kyle Hankins, the Nashville Predators Organist")

Time was set aside during the concert to acknowledge graduating 8th graders.

Each was asked to stand up and await applause.  It was also announced last night that Moo received the graduate assistant position she applied for earlier this year.  This position allows for a freshman to stay in the Touring Choir for another season to mentor younger choristers, help the directors in several ways during each week's rehearsal, and assist in other ways behind the scenes.
Belle and three other choristers had a brief quartet in which they opened the piece, Chantez a Dieu.
It was a great concert.
The conductors take a final bow to a standing ovation.
Sweet friends.

The girls with some other special friends--some of which are also graduate assistants and honor choristers.

Hanging out at Dr. Bridges' after-party.  These girls didn't get to bed until midnight. The one on the far right is slap happy. :)
