On December 2, 2011, the girls performed with the Nashville Children's Choir at Massey Performing Arts Center on the campus of Belmont University for the "Sing Joy" holiday concert. This performance featured the preparatory, concert, youth and touring choirs. They sang pieces both as individual choirs and as one large combination choir. It was wonderful.
Awaiting the start of the performance.
Mr. Kyle is the touring choir's accompanist.
The choirs on the left and right of the stage are the preparatory and concert choirs, and they extend all the way up the staircases on either side of the auditorium.
Video of the opening and Joy to the World (note the look on Belle's face when she sees the big guy on her right):
We laughed with Belle that she was standing beside one of the Nephilim (the giants referred to in Genesis 6). Her little friend on the other side of her said, "Man, he's as big as a building!". This young man nudged Belle at the end of the concert and showed her his fist. To which she just stared up at him questioningly, not sure what he was doing. "Bump it" he said, and she did. She couldn't stop giggling while telling the tale of her run in with a giant. Funny.
Moo wasn't next to a giant, but she was next to a boy who--*GASP*--has a bit of a mustache. According to Belle, this is big news.
Dr. Bridges directing.
This is video of their big piece, This Little Babe:
The Touring Choir, with Mr. Josh.
Mr. James Wells' turn to direct the choristers. All the directors are great, but Mr. Wells has the voice of an angel (specifically, an angel by the name of Josh Groban. Unbelievable.).
