These are some of my friends, whom I love and will miss when we move. Lisa, Shelley, Despy and Becky all attend a somewhat regular meeting of "The KnitWits", where we chat over coffee and work on a knitted something-or-other (nothing too complicated, lest good conversation results in dropped stitches or becoming lost in a lace pattern!). Even Shelley, our mascot who really doesn't like knitting at all, humors us by pulling out the needles to slowly work on her skinny scarf when we gather. Said scarf will be done sometime around the time of the supposed Mayan prophecy fulfillment...but it WILL sometime be done, and then she has promised to take up latch-hooking. *snicker*
For our last gathering before I move, the ladies got this bag for me and signed the back with kind words and scriptures. In order to always remember this...I am posting a lot of pictures of ME. This proves that I exist, for those of you who mention how my picture never makes my blog (well once every 300 posts). It also proves that I can overcome my humiliation of my non-photogenic appearance!
Every once in awhile, a whole bunch of different kinds of ladies can get together around something silly--like yarn--and it can turn out to be a really special thing. I will miss you guys. There will always be a hearty strand of Peaches 'n Cream dishcloth cotton that will bind us together! :)
