Garden Update

So this is an update on my garden. Most of my seeds sprouted, and are taking off. I have sunflowers, snap peas, acorn squash, one lonely stalk of sweet corn (planted 9, only one came up?), honeydew, radishes, broccoli, cabbage, banana peppers, red carrots, orange carrots, chives, onions, pole beans, bush beans (wax & green), Italian green beans, spinach, romaine, bibb, mesclin, swiss chard, rosemary, basil, tomatoes (3 varieties), strawberries, watermelon, spaghetti squash and brussel sprouts.

I guess the first thing I can testify to this early in the season, is that we are having an easy time weeding. And that you can cram a whole lot into a small space. I am pretty sure that I am breaking some SFG rules...but, hey...last year's garden was such an underperforming one, that I wanted to err on the side of planting too much. Or, jungle gardening, if you'd prefer.

It looks so scientific, like it's from an informational film from the 1950's "Better Living Through Systematic Gardening." I love it! My garden is doing NOTHING.

Ummm...I have 3 tomato plants! Do dandelion greens count? You can eat those. :o) Great garden, Allison. I'm impressed!

Looks great!!!!
I am so glad Chad is a gardener because although I enjoy gardening in my little dream world ... in reality it is not my favorite. If we had a bigger yard, I think Chad would have our garden looking like yours!! We have lettuce, tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, snap peas, basil and cilantro coming up! yum.
