In 23 days, our family will mark the one year anniversary of my husband's departure to the Nashville area. In turn, that began our seven month separation while we tried (unsuccessfully, it turns out) to sell our home in Illinois while hubby set down some initial 'tent pegs' for our family in Tennessee.
Time does fly, doesn't it?
Lesson learned: hard times--and good times, for that matter--will come to an end. It will last for a season, which will in hindsight seem shorter than it actually did at the time, and then it will be over. I'm glad to have gone through this with a good man and two of the most extraordinary children, who each taught me in different ways about perseverance, faith and hope along the way.
Now, the question develops: what's next??
Never can tell, really. I'll let you know as the Father unfolds His plan. We've learned to stay flexible, to stay faithful, to remain trusting and to seek the light on the path. :)
